What is Chitosan?
Chitosan is produced from chitin, a naturally occurring fiber that is a major component of the exoskeleton of shellfish. In laboratory tests, Chitosan becomes soluble in a solution of simulated stomach acid, binds with fats and oils and forms a protective gel when the pH is increased.

Significant attention has been given to the role of Chitosan as a cholesterol and lipid binding agent. Chitosan is produced by the hydrolysis of chitin, a naturally occurring polysaccharide that is a major component of shellfish shell. Liposan Ultra Chitosan (min 85% deacetylation) (shellfish)(Shrimp,Crab) ..1000 mg

Other ingredients: calcium Phosphate, Stearic Acid, PVP, Magnesium Stearate and Silicon

Suggested Use: as a dietary supplement, take 1 to 2 tables with 8 oz of water with meals.

Caution: Chitosan is derived from shellfish. If you are allergic to any form of shellfish you may wish to avoid the use of this product.
